What Jim has stated is extremely important. These are the types of questions we need to be asking ourselves and asking the U.N. As members of the United Nations Association we are here to support and advocate but not blindly. Our voices can be heard and must be heard to correct the imperfections and share the importance of this world organization. As the support of our grassroots grow so shall our goal of world peace.
"Note that this bombing of ISIL by US contradicts our resolution to end US military activity in Middle East.
We will have to discuss this contradiction- does it imply that the US is a necessary military force for achieving peace in Syria or does it show how the Security Council bends to the wishes of US and Russia, given their veto power? Or what does it show? "
